Addition of Captive Insurance Professionals

In our continued efforts to best serve our clients, ICG is pleased to announce the addition of John Hernick, Anne Vise and Sherry Dupont to the ICG team.

John Hernick, ICGJohn Hernick, ARM, ACI – Director of Insurance & Captive Solutions

John has been in the insurance industry for more than 20 years. He began his career with a major mid-market US carrier serving in various positions, including underwriting support, claims support, and office management. John then worked for an independent power producer, focusing on surety and insurance programs structure. John then moved to a large midwestern power utility. In this position John managed the company’s captive insurance, reinsurance and investment programs. Prior to joining ICG, John was with USA Risk Group. At USA Risk Group John was responsible for policy and coverage analysis services, client support and liaison, and working to create efficiencies within processes. At ICG John will have a role in all aspects of the captive insurance program including proposals, underwriting, and coverage analysis.

Anne Vise, ICGAnne Vise, CPA, MBA, CHFP – Director of Captive Management

Prior to joining ICG, Anne led the Tennessee office for USA Risk Group where she served as a captive manager for captives domiciled in multiple states.  Before entering the captive industry, Anne worked in public accounting and served as chief financial officer for a large health care organization. She is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Martin where she earned her bachelors and masters in accounting. Anne is a licensed certified public accountant and will oversee the captive management processes for ICG.

Sherry Dupont, ICGSherry Dupont – Director of Operations and Captive Account Manager

Sherry has a decade of experience working in various roles within the captive insurance industry in Vermont.  Most recently working in the finance department of a large independent captive manager. Sherry also has several years of experience working on the day-to-day accounting and management of various captive insurance companies while working at captive management firms including Aon Insurance Managers and Marsh Captive Solutions. Sherry also has experience working in public accounting performing various audit roles for captive insurance companies while employed with Saslow Lufkin & Buggy, LLP (acquired by Crowe LLP). Sherry is a graduate of the University of Vermont, where she earned her bachelor of science in business administration. At ICG Sherry will manage the day-to-day operations of the office as well as serve as a valuable member of the captive management team overseeing the management of a portfolio of captive insurance companies.

Tennessee Captive Insurance Association 8th Annual Conference

The Tennessee Captive Insurance Association, Inc. (TCIA) held the 8th Annual Conference on June 19-20, 2018 at the Westin Hotel in Downtown Nashville. The Annual Conference was expanded with more educational content on day 1, along with a PAC event that evening. Day 2 featured more educational sessions and networking opportunities and had a dinner and music event that evening. ICG’s Andy Rhea continues to serve as a board of director for the TCIA and we look forward to the continued growth of the Association.

TCIA Fall Conference

The Tennessee Captive Insurance Association held its 7th Annual Conference in Nashville at the Westin Hotel in November of 2017. Andy Rhea presented on the topic of Pivot and how companies must adapt to changes not only in their business but also their risk management.

Andy was also elected to the Tennessee Captive Insurance Association Board of Directors at the Fall Conference.


The Self Insurance Institute of America (SIIA) held its 37th Annual Conference in Phoenix, AZ on October 8-10, 2017. Andy Rhea is a member of SIIA’s captive committee and was the moderator for a State Insurance Regulator panel discussion on the state of the captive industry. Joining Andy were regulators from 7 different state domiciles.

Tennessee Captive Insurance Association Summer Spotlight – 2017

The TCIA held the Summer Spotlight on June 20th and 21st in Cool Springs, Tennessee.  Andy Rhea serves as Chairman of the Conference Committee and presented on the use of captive insurance companies and employee benefit plans.

Jackie Staudacher Joins ICG Team

ICG provides best in class captive insurance company consulting and management and it is in those efforts that we are pleased to announce the addition of Jackie Staudacher to the team.  Jackie will serve as Accounting Manager for ICG.  She is a licensed Certified Public Accountant and has years of experience in management, senior accounting, and auditing roles for companies including First Acceptance Insurance, American Bar Association, and Blackman Kallick (acquired by Plante & Moran). Jackie is a graduate from Michigan State University, where she received both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting.

Jackie moved to Nashville two years ago and is renovating her house in her spare time. When she is not swinging a hammer, she is busy playing with her five month old puppy, Stella. Jackie also enjoys movies, yoga, and cheering on the Michigan State Spartans.
